Don't get stuck behind the Olympic torch on Saturday as it bimbles up the A82.

Proper excited about going as been wanting to for a few years. My missus bought me tickets and booked b & b for my birthday. Wicked eh? Supposed to be going up with a mate and taking bikes to ride in the area on Monday and Tuesday after the event. Then at a BBQ on Saturday turned round and b**ered me knee, can't walk without crutches although it is slowly getting better. Praying I can at least go even if not ride (gutted as never ridden in that there Scotland, I ride the Devonshire hills) Will be gutted of I can't ride and double gutted if I can't even go 🙁 Apparently it's a cartilage tear 🙁

Bring midge stuff. They're finally here, and are making up for lost time. My preference is Smidge.

Bump-
Torch is due to be dragged around Ft Bill town at around 1330, thereafter trucked to Spean Bridge, right past the gate at Nevis Range. Get on site early if you can.
Why is the torch not visiting the WC venue, anyway..?
The disrespect is appalling!
And they'd get a guaranteed crowd, too. Would be funny if Ft Bill town is empty coz everyone is along the road..!

They should get one of the DH riders to bring the torch down the mountain on a timed run ... or would it blow out?

Apparently the torch is visiting the Nevis Range and is going up to the top of the Gondola. due to arrive there around 2 I think.

full details of the lochaber leg here:

Driving up from Glasgow on Sunday morning to watch the DH.

Looking forward to it as I've not been for a couple of years

Have space for two more in the car. PM me if anyone is interested in a lift

I hope the roadworks on the roundabout out of Fort William up to the Nevis Range have been finished. We had quite a wait when we were up for the BDS.

The roadworks between Glencoe village and Fort William are still ongoing. If the traffic is heavy it will add on another 30 mins.

Roundabout in FW is finished. Have been two sets between Glencoe and FW recently, one was packed away last night, one still up. Stand by...

Onich is between Glencoe village and FW 😉

TO be fair, they were a lot better on Tuesday than they were the week before. I think they may have stopped the convoy type lights near Onich for the weekend (which, and I could be wrong, they only need when workers are actually at the roadside).

Roadworks are all packed up, I'm told. So just general traffic and the torch to screw your journey up!
