My gmail inbox has just removed the 30 or so emails that were in there. They are not archives and not in the bin.
Anyone else had this happen?
Any ideas how I get the emails back?
Nope, my gmail.com account is still all in place.
No idea how to retrieve.

You have tried logging out, and logging back in again haven't you?
Also, do you have a gmail or googlemail account? You haven't by some freak logged into the wrong one?
gmail and googlemail are the same thing
But you could have both an xxx@gmail.com and an xxx@googlemail.com account at one time.
But yes, they are technically the same...
Edit: although having just tried it, they now both take you to the same email account.
you don't even need the gmail/googlemail bit when you log in, just the bit before that @.
Logged in, logged out, three times to be sure. 2 compueters and a phone.

Eek, contact google, should be backed up somewhere.
WCA - looking at the service status page there does seem to be an issue listed there that is ongoing.. to you might be caught up in that..
rs - well, it's worth a try and somehow I managed to log into the gmail account for a googlemail address, and the inbox was missing. Logged out and back in with the googlemail address and it worked!
My gmail account was hacked into earlier in the week, had access suspended by gmail and had to do various things to reactivate it, then in my sent mail folder was a load of mail to various email address that I don't know.
