Just been given a start date for a new job. It's October 3rd. However, the latter was dated 31st August and arrived this morning (Saturday) so I can't hand in my notice until Monday 5th. The numbers don't add up as I'm supposed to give one calendar month. So, should I just give 4 weeks and hope they accept? Or, do I use a couple of days holiday to cover the overlap and technically be working two jobs for half a week?
By the way, I have about 2.5 weeks of leave to use between now and then anyway.
