I'm planning on having a few friends round for a tapas party and am in need of decent recipes.

I make a mean sangria so the drink is covered, whats good and simple enough to make that I can have a load going on at once and not spend the whole time stood by the oven.

Cheers

Fry some chopped onion and garlic.
Add chilli flakes and sliced Chorizo (peel it).
Add a little chopped tomato (tinned) and some broad beans
Stuff in the oven for 20 mins.

Or

Get a tin of Octopus from the supermarket.
Tip it, oil and all, into a casserole dish (an ickle one).
Sprinkle with paprika
Stuff in the oven for 20 mins.

Both are tasty nice and relatively authentic

Caramelise a load of onions.
Add a big glass of red wine and some sliced chorizo.
Season.
Cook down till wine goes all syruppy.

Out of door. Turn right. Wander a couple of hundred yards up the road. Turn left in to the door of rather excellent local tapas restaurant. Place order for icy cold Estrella. Place order for a couple of dishes and a basket of bread.

Works every time. The recipe is always perfect as well.

Have a look here. it's got photos and all. There is a slight problem in that the best tapas recipes come from Spain, you following? In Spanish! From the front page press "Leer más" to read more and find recipe, then off to Babelfish! 😉
