The missus and I were watching the History channel earlier this week - Ghosts on the Underground. Quite interesting, with fairly credible people describing events which were hard to explain.

In my 43 years I have experienced three events which to this date spook...

...any one else had weird stuff happen?

Not personally.. Used to watch that most haunted programme though, so weird stuff happened on that the odd time.

One night me and a friend were walking up some stairs in Knarsborough heading for the castle and half way up couldn't decide whether to take the stairs on the left or the stairs on the right. After a brief discussion we decided on the right. Two days later we climbed the same stairs to the same point only to find there were no stairs leading left, it certainly gave us the chills.

Nothing weird for me, but i keep an open mind, just in case anything has to prove itself and scare the carp out of me!

I get UFOs all the time, but living in Lincolnshire I'm surrounded by RAF bases. I've seen 2 which have been properly wierd, but given the location probably explainable, just not by me.
Would love to live near Area 51 though!

The list of things that can't be explained is significantly longer than the list of things that can. Humans find it so hard to admit that they can't understand.

My best mate was on his turntables and spottedd something in his peripheral vision. He turned round to see an old guy walk from his bedroom through the wall into his living room and then disapear. He said he wasn't freaked out or anything , strange stuff though.

I was working in a old three story derelict building about eight months ago.
I revamp old houses for a living.
Our laborer came up from the cellar saying he got a really strong smell of perfume down there.
Thought nothing of it.
About two weeks later i was walking back up from the cellar when i could have sworn i saw a white light out of the corner of my eye.
Few days later a taxi driver stopped and spoke to us as we where working outside.
He asked us if we had seen the woman in the window.
This building has been empty for 15 years with the ground floor boarded up no windows in it and apparently local people have seen a woman standing in one of the middle floor windows.
Couple of days later we got the same tale of a woman and here young daughter who lived close by and swear they had seen something in the same window that the taxi driver had been on about....weird......
Didn,t work in there on my own after that...

I once went to the loo in the pub and my cheesy wotsits had gone by the time I got back.

I think that counts. All my mates said no-one had touched them. Must've been a ghost or something.

The mind is powerful. See a smudge in the corner of your eye and it can be what yo want it to be. I dont believe in all that and guess what: I dont see it.

sat on the sofa once with the missus, we were looking at each other, missus was just moving her hand in front of her and all of a sudden and very quickly, a whisp of what looked like smoke just came off her thumb, blink and you missed it.

I looked at her and said, what was that, she saw it too, we were, and still are baffled!

I once saw Whoopie Goldberg get off with some lass while pretending to be Patrick Swayze. That was a bit weird to say the least.

About 8 years ago I was walking my dog Roo through Durham Uni grounds when I spotted a cat sitting on a car bonnet looking at us. I was expecting the worst, as Roo, a collie/lab cross and a confirmed cat chaser/hater, had also seen it and was off the lead. However, she walked over to the car, had a sniff of the cat (which didn't move) and walked back to me. When I looked back the cat had gone.

Sent quite a shiver down my spine, as only a few weeks earlier my favourite cat Charlie went to chase mice in the sky and this one was his double.

I was sat in my parents house about 15 years ago, ( actually watching one of the bmbf rounds on Tv), when the curtains raised by approx 7- 10 inches. They were raised in a slow manner , as if raised intentionlly to look out of them. They dropped back down after about 5 seconds.

My dad looked at my mum and I and asked if we saw what he just saw!

Everyone, I mean, everyone has a camera on them nowdays. My normal working day, I'll have two phones with me, both have cameras.

So why don't we have massive video evidence of ghosts and UFO's? Because they're in people's heads? Maybe. I once followed what can best be described as a 'whisp' down a stretch of singletrack around dusk. Very fast, looked like a deer, white. It darted along the track in front of me and then suddenly whipped off through the trees and disappeared.

Ghost? Nah.
My own mind playing tricks, most likely.

Not myself but a family friend is a retired BA captain, flown all around the world, and he tells stories of his Boeings being buzzed by objects that moved in ways he couldn't explain; one incident was confirm by Italian air traffic control, I'll try and find a link to the report

Was staying in an apartment in Spain and woke up to see the telly all fuzzy. Then a nun appeared on the screen who made a blessing type sign at which point I near shit myself... because I realised we didn't have a telly.
Lots of similar weird shit goes on when I'm there and whilst I dont generally beleive in that kind of stuff I'm learning to embrace it.
Oh and there's a cat that visits us quite often recently - except when I look back it's not there. Very odd and too real a thing to be a corner of the eye type thing.

Ps. I'm not mad ( not in that sense anyhow )

I've not encountered an unexplained occurrence that hasn't been later debunked with the application of science.

However, I put pants AND two matching socks in the washing machine and get one wrecked sock out. Why? Does the washing machine create some sort of wormhole that draws odd socks and random underpants into a parallel universe. I'm damned if I know where else they go.

In our youth and courting days bare in mind this was the second summer of love and both tripping our nuts off, my wife and me felt someone try and push us of a small wall at the top of lady hill in Elgin. The sight was an old burial ground for plague victims and I had definately felt a solid hand on the base of my spine as did the wife. The fact we had taken Strawberry trips I still maintain it was supernatural rather than phsycadelic.

Probably a satellite, but there's wierd stuff flying around, the aerospace 'twitchers' see stuff late at night that can't be identified; landing lights come on dimly, a jet with no navigation lights lands and all the landing lights go out, a vehicle with dipped headlights goes out and escorts said jet into a darkened hanger. Friends of my brother saw that happen at RAF Fairford when it was in full service with the Americans. Could be anything, but probably not Aurora.

My most recent experience was about 5/6 years ago in an old house we were renting in Malvern. My missus had told me that on two occasions she had seen a shadow/void in the house which moved off as she looked at it.  I didn't pay too much attention 🙁 Anyway months later I was locking up the house and there was a child-size shadow at the turn on the stairs - caught it in the corner of my eye and it moved off.  Freaky, not at all scary, but I would be interested in the history of the house.
Just been comparing notes with the better half and it sounds exactly the same as her experience and description.

15/16 Years ago, one evening we were driving north on the A1 near Warenford when I jammed on the brakes because a 'shadow' ran out in to the road ahead  - both of us saw it and were a bit shaken. No-one to be seen though. A while  later we did some research and iirc there was a tale of an accident on that stretch of road whereby someone was killed running in to the path of a car to get help...

My only other experience was when I was much younger, drunk, thinking it was clever doing seances with mates.  Nothing happened at all with the ouija and we cursed (a fair bit) at the waste of time.  At that point a copy of a letter fell to the floor amongst us. It was the WW1 'lost in action' letter from my great grandfather ... FREAKED us out. I don't think any of us dabbled with seances again after that!
