Well, in the lucky lottery of life I have tickets for the first Olympic football matches at Wembley - not quite the 100m final but beggars and choosers and all that....
What would be the best way ofgetting down there - thinking of driving to Stanmore and parking up before going in on the Jubilee Line?
not sure on parking by stanmore, but the train ride is ideal / easy
Yeah, Stanmore has a large car park next door. I think you can even find parking charges online.
Just get there early, so u get a space.
Oh, and look on the tfl website for planned engineering works. I don't think there would be any, but nothing would surprise me...
Some of the lads who go regular for the football, drive and park at a shopping centre near Watford I think, then train/tube it in from there.
That'll be the Harlequin Centre. You can get the over ground train from Watford Junction to Wembley Central.
Either would work; depends if you are coming down the A1 or M1.
Drive to Watford and park on street(Cassiobury Park road) or car park in Cassiobury Park,. It was free when we went to play off final but that was a few years ago now.
Get underground straight to Wembley.
