I have a turntable at home that I had plugged into a hifi then a rourke audio thing, but I want to move it to a different room. So I have the turntable and the pre amp and the two phono cables to plug it into something to get the music out.

It's for very occasional use so want something small and cheap. Any suggestions?

Lepai amplifier - surprisingly decent sound for something so cheap...

A soundbar would work. You could put it on a shelf too. Just a thought.

Maybe I'm missing something but that's an amp, so I would need to plug the pre amp into that then speakers into the amp.

Ideally I just want some sort of combined single speaker unit that I can plug the pre amp or even the turntable straight into. If such a thing exists.

Ah the soundbar is a good idea, I have one in the living room so could test it.

Could I plug the pre amp into a guitar amp somehow?

Assumed you had speakers.

It's very, very small though! And a couple of decent small bookshelf speakers attached to that will sound better than a soundbar.

No speakers, just a turntable, a per amp and two phono cables. I just want a simple tidy solution and have a spare guitar amp if I could somehow get that connected it would be ideal.

I have my turntable plugged into this: https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/home-audio-speakers/marshall-stanmore-black-portable-speaker-zwart?gclid=Cj0KEQiAtri0BRDLoaCF95e7o_sBEiQA_pgRQ2fJi8IXKfcou2jRrjzfSr0WHRZ3srILT3S29WkVSKoaAsWj8P8HAQ

Although it may not meet your price requirements? Sound is good for what it is, pretty loud too. Also has Bluetooth, and you can plug a phone/MP3 in via headphone jack too, so it's fairly useful. Marshall also do smaller/larger ones to suit your budget/space. I imagine other cheaper options must be available.

Or a set of small powered bookshelf monitors. There's some good ones around dirt cheap. You'd get some stereo separation then too.

This Bluetooth speaker has also got an RCA line-in that you could presumably plug the phono pre-amp into?

Phono to 3.5mm cable from your pre-amp into your guitar amp (+ adaptor to 6.35mm if needed)?...

Looks ideal the-muffin-man, guitar amp is in the same room anyway so that's perfect. Cheers.

That Lepai looks mint, and just what I was looking for!

Doubt the guitar amp is stereo though, so you may need to fiddle to send both channels to one side. I had a Crate that was, but it was a sort of faux stereo, the chorus effect built in swished between the twin speakers, and it'd accept other stereo line in effects, but ofc the guitar was mono .. no Rick-o-Sound here..

For what the jacks cost it's worth a punt, not to bothered about how amazing the sound it, as long as its reasonable.

Maybe if you stick to playing guitar music through it 😉
