For various reasons, I've fallen out with the place we live now. 4yrs ago, they slapped up an estate of executive boxes to front of our property which has taken the stunning view and increased traffic.

Is letting the property a viable option at the mo? I guess sales of first time buyer properties are not really happening?

What's quickest way, besides arson, to get shut, oh great stw?

Letting can be viable depending on the area/market, but in general a LOT of people are letting out their properties instead of selling these days.

Small (ie. up to 2, maybe 3 bed) places let far easier than big family houses too.

Depends so much on the area and price range. Here (Edinburgh}good flats are selling well at near the bottom of the price range, rentals can be hard tolet as there is a lot on the market - but rents are high
