Need a break for the weekend soon. Can anyone recommend a nice ( good value) self catering or b&b that would suit me, Mrs BM & 10 month old baby BM.
Thanks to the oracle in advance.

We stayed in Geary Shiel, right on the banks of the Tweed with Otters & seals swimming past, log fire, dead quiet, bliss.
Dunno if they do weekends only though.

stayed at wraeburn cottage in thropton last weekend. a great place but maybe a bit big/pricey for the three of you (it sleeps 8 comfy) but it worked out less than £300 for the long weekend and you've got free reign of 720 acres of parkland. great views, good little village annd some good walks/rides on the doorstep at simonside/thrunton etc

Ethie lodge in rothbury. Stunning little self catering place. Handy for walks and riding.
