Not wishing to make light of the matter at hand......but whoever decided on this title for their organisation must surely have known what they were doing 😆

The worst one was the school where the missus works when they became an academy.

The Westlands Academy Trust.

No one realised until I asked the missus why she was working for a bunch of ****s?

It was quickly changed.

torsoinalake - I think the OP was cunningly referring to an acronym that was out of place in the current time.

torsoinalake has it.

Slightly incongruous thread title where one word is 'genius' and the other a mis-spelling 🙄

Similar to the above.. I work for a company whose name begins with a C.

We have a C.. Women in I.T. initiative.

I said they would prefer to be called Ladies, but they wouldn't have it 🙁

I used to work for a company whose initials were "DCL." I tried and failed to prevent my department being formally named "IT Services." So, yes, we were DCLITS.

Amongst the home comforts my neighbour brought with her when she moved in was the satellite dish from her old house in germany, which she proudly bolted to the wall in the courtyard. Some marketing genius came up with this branding for a SATellite ANtenae
