What constitutes an A*, A, B, C, D etc?

Changes each year 😉 Helpful I know. Off the top of my head, 80%ish - A* and down in 10% steps roughly, but can vary by around 4% sometimes, give or take.

It means whatever the government needs it to mean in order to show that "education x 3" is still working.

As a rough guide, A*, A, B grades mean lovely hard-working articulate well-organised kids from nice middle class homes with two parents

E, F, G and U grades mean something else
