Got a GPX file i need to stick on my Garmin 800 but am having no luck.
Ive tried this method:
Plug in Garmin to laptop.
Locate GPX file, open Garmin from my computer.
Draged and dropped the GPX into "new files"
Unplug Garmin
Start Garmin, looked in "courses"...not there!
Help...
I had this problem the other day. Where the garmin appears on the drive list, I put it in both (garmin and garmin maps or similar) and then it appeared. It went mental and didn't work on the course though.
Are you "ejecting" the Garmin as a remote drive before unplugging it?
I've had this functionality work exactly once on one of two Edge 500s, and can't work out what's different about that time from every attempt since... Sometimes, I hate you, Garmin.
Open the gpx in basecamp and export to your Garmin that way?

I wondered that but its a 3o mile route and i can see anything that long on the Garmin. Ive managed uploading before but not done it for ages, but dont remember it being hard...... ****
Right, somehow its appeared. Now how do i upload from Garmin to connect?
