I am after some metal racking for the garage. Where is the best (see cheapest) place to get it from? I am not going to be loading it with vast weights so it doesnt have to be uber strong.

Most DIY stores have average stuff, if you're a member of Costco they had some really good metal heavy duty stuff a couple of weeks ago.
+1 for the cstco racking,also IKEA have some good wooden racking
I'm impressed with the vfm of my bigdug shelving.
+1 for bigdug.
another vote for bigdug used it to make beer stillages for the bigbikebash, cheap and bloody strong.
you could wrap it old carpet and bury it, I have three garages that I store this way.
bigdug - and their plastic shelving can take a right good weight too.
