but how in the name that all that is holy do you set the thing, I've tried RT****M but I may as well have forced it into my eye sockets for all the good its done me.
help, or I'll be destined to wearing an elaborate plastic bracelet for the rest of my days!
Seriously, you really do have to read the manual. Very slowly, a page at a time, and do exactly as it says as you're reading.
Then, once it's set, never, ever touch any of the buttons again. 🙂
keep (A) depressed (for two seconds) as the second hand goes through the following sequence: LIES BLOODY DAMN HAIRY LIES!!!
I had a crisis with mine recently. Depressing one of the buttons supposedly turns a light on. Unfortunately, depresseing any of the other buttons gets it to show the time in Hong Kong a few hours ago. It was dark, and I really wanted to know what time it was in the UK, right then. 🙁
It's a bit of a pain.
Set to "home" settings so it zeros itself. Set it roughly to the right time. Leave it to sync at night - once done it's brilliant - I have almost the same watch.
Ignore the manual - it says the right things but in the wrong order!
Oh and they often come with no charge (if solar) - give it a day to get charged up otherwise hardly anything works.
sorted! amazing what you can achieve with a little manual and a day off work with chronic toothache! (wisdom tooth infection)
that said Krag did manage to set the time yesterday but I've tackled the year, month, day and date 🙂
that said I can't for the life of me why the stopwatch won't start from 12 o'clock instead of 4 minutes past?!? WTF is up with that?
apart from that I'm loving it! 🙂
Mr Nutt - tbh the other functions are a PITA. I use my digi G shock if I need a stopwatch or alarm!
It's s great watch for timekeeping and looks nice too but other G Shocks do a much better job of most other functions.
WTF did you buy it for, if you're such an idiot you don't even know how to set it?
I strapped on my posh Seiko the other night, to go out in, then realised later that the battery had died. 😳
Talk - most G Shocks are easy to set. This one has the most stupid manual ever. Other than that, it shares the same movement as the £900 (comically names) Oceanus watch and is ultra reliable and as accurate as a watch can ever be.
why did I buy it? well I figure as I'm well overbiked it best that I pull out the overwatched style just to complete the picture!
So, now you have a stupid, ill-thought-out watch to go with your stupid, ill-thought-out bike?
What a fool....
mrnutt - where from ? price ?
chavelle in the great western designer outlet village, town of pigs. £120.00
its a very well thought out & capable bike as you well know, its just a shame the rider is poorly considered and all very very wrong.
It's a stupid ill-though-out bike, barely capable of going down to the shops on, in fact if you did everyone would laugh at you.
Which they do anyway, because you're so utterly stupid and rubbish with your stupid watch what you can't even work because you're so stupid.
Ooh, I've come over all nasty and spiteful all of a sudden. It's quite exciting! 😀
hmmm, have you been at the shaving foam again you hairy little man?
I'm not actually very hairy at the moment. I had a 'bit of a moment' with some Wahl home clippers a few weeks ago.
My shaving foam is minty! 😀
