Ok....whilst trying to find a pair of mountaineering trousers I have struggled to find anything to fit over my chunky ( muscle bound - of course) thighs.....

Which got me thinking am I a distant relative of Mr Tumulus, an offspring of the Hoy?

So come on what size thighs have we all got.(circumference for the pi55takers)

26 inches here.

A difficult measurement to take in the office, but around 20 inches.

Slight pause

Talk amongst yourselves whilst drawers are emptied in search of that pesky cloth tape measure, non shatterproof rulers are pushed to their max, builders are seen wandering round looking for the tape measure that 'was there a minute ago'

No idea, not big, solid muscle though, but I'm built for endurance not quick bursts of speed.

Mine are just under 29" round. When I first measured that I couldn't believe it but when comapring to my wife's waist it seemed to hold true.

Where are you measuring btw - above the knee? below the scrote? In the middle?

lol @ Brack.

Nope, ex rugbyist and rowingist and long term cyclist together with just generally being built on the sturdy side. 6'4" and 18 stone at the moment.

Does cause issues with buying trousers and stuff though

Beat this for weirdness:

widest point (near top) - just under 26"
narrowest (above knee) - just over 16.5"

26" here. I also struggle with trousers as I have a relatively small waist (32")

'scaredy'I reckon Hoy must have quads of those dimensions as they are true pistons.....ie tapered.

23 1/2. I'm quite pleased as the missus says I have legs like a chicken.

My side kick Vicky just caught me measuring myself with a tie. Now I have to explain what I was up to.

Harry_the_spider

That must have taken you ages to measure...thanks for the effort.

Was that an average measurement or have you one leg that is thicker? 😛

Can't believe I just measured my thighs..... have work to do...... must not get sidetracked...... I might need to block STW from my own computer 🙁

Oh hang on I've just re-measured them with the help of a cloth tape measure rather than a dog lead and plastic ruler and I've come in at 29" on the bigger one and 28.5" on the smaller one 😕

hate to say it the beard, but measuring your thighs whilst sitting down might look a little odd as well. in the privacy of your desk space etc

You are bigger when erect?

could you doubt it ?
Anyway, it's not a competition, I'm content with my thighs as they are 🙂

barnses leg are like little kids legs, almost hobbit like, same as his feet..

whereas ton models after an orc... [apologies to orcs for personal slur]

A lot less than when I'd done a season of ski guiding. I can find trousers to fit now!

28.5" here. Find it impossible to find trousers that fit my thighs AND my waist - usually end up with a massive belt or just comfort fit jeans. 21" a couple of inches above the knee

or just comfort fit jeans

24" over here, I too have problems with jeans of the non-baggy variety.

I'm 5'11" with a 33" inside leg & 32" waist so I buy long, can't get bloody 32" waist ones to fit, so I buy 34" waist ones and wear a belt quite tight, it's more the very top of my leg/behind that causes the problems though 😆
