Watching it again, it's mostly lady friendly - sorry 🙂

I object to this as you're quite clearly learing at women and it's not appropriate, especially the fur shot

Well, if this is allowed to continue, and the FSB one has been closed, that's grossly unfair.

I mean, I do like to look at healthy, attractive ladies, so I don't see why the ladies on here can't look at pics of blokes.

Nope Aleigh - these are all athletic people (sports people) as well as asthetic, and none of the above could be classed as sexually explicit. Unlike the fsb thread where it was just anyone (though it wasnt explicit either). We should all follow the same rules lol 🙂 Feel free to post up your sexy sports men here! 🙂 And no its not hypocritical, theres a difference in the content!

I am more than happy to see the back of the A&A threads too.. I'd rather that no one posted pictures of either sex for sexual gratification to be honest. For aleigh to complain about this one after she started a thread that I closed showing pictures of men a tad hypocritical and quite childish. This A&A 'tradition' is simply a concession that personally I don't like. Give me a good enough reason to get rid of all these kinds of threads and I'll happily oblige.

Or.... reign in your necks a bit, read the rules AGAIN, and stop whining!

I cant speak on Aleighs behalf but there's absolutely no lack of love on my part (in an internet hug sense), when i made comments on the other thread (and I didnt report it before im accused!) I was simply pointing out that the thread was outside the rules and they were all welcome to post sports men in the A&A thread but it appeared some thought A&A was for men only and that women could post pics of anyone anytime. I can see that she might be annoyed though!

as the ladies on here are in the minority, the A&A threads get mainly loaded with pics of ladies, so i guess Aleigh was innocently trying to start a thread with consisted of men....uh huh rules are rules and to keep Mark happy and to keep a hold of his own toys rules need to be followed.

I haven't a clue what the rules are and if anything i post on here is against the rules i'll not be getting upset about it, a neither should anyone else.

The internet is loaded with pics of attractive people, so if anyone wishes to look at them then go look for them yourselves.

or even better, go ride yer bikes whilst the weather is this lovely...

Lets make this really clear..

As was agreed during discussions that occurred after we suggested the idea of a women's only forum (which was soundly rejected, most vociferously by some of the regular women forums users, who's ironic argument was that they don't want any special treatment), was that there should be less demeaning posts of a sexual nature. For example, 'I'd bang her back doors in' and the like. Those sorts of comments are now moderated on sight. As for posting pictures of either sex for 'aesthetic' reasons it was made very clear that if any feels the need to post a picture of any person for 'appreciative' reasons that the ONLY outlet for that on this forum was via the A&A thread that can only happen on a Friday.

Those rules were for ALL forum users. The consensus was distinctly that women should be treated just the same as the men. No special treatment.. no special forum.. one set of rules for all.

What about the Susanna Reid/Kate Silverton thread?

Seems little more than the objectification of women for sexual gratification.

..one set of rules for all...

Mods can only police threads if people who think they're outside the rules report them RB. If you find it objectification, report it and let them decide. Lets not continue to argue, the rules are pretty clear!

We react to threads that are reported to us. aleighs thread was reported to me. None of the others you mention have. Complain and we'll look at it. If we suspect you are complaining for the sake of it we'll take that into account to.

Again, none of what I'm saying is new. It's ALL in the rules. I'm surprised that so many 'regulars' need to be pointed towards them so often.

On the other hand as mods you should have hd the inteligence to see that the FSB is no worst than the A&A. Both aim to show picture of very good looking member of the other sex. The athletic A in A&A is merely an excuse. I don't like any but I have enough tolerance to live and let die. People who report threads should have at least the courage/decency not to do it anonymously

I think it's a lack of understanding on the ladies part of how us men look at this post. It's absurd to state that we look at these athletes with anything other than respect for the efforts they have put in to get their body in such good physical shape. Unfortunately women just do not understand that men tend to objectify things and are more inclined to think of women as objects like a bike, a car or a lovely painting. So these femeale athletes are really just objects to us us like bikes and cars etc. No ones complains if someone posts a pic of that beautiful cove hustler with the xtr kit on...

i hope this helps the ladies understand this post a little more. 😀

Do Cheer leaders count as sport?

I didn't think it mattered, just so long as the person was athletic. But since you asked, yes. Least I'd imagine so. Seeing as there are competitions for it where people compete for points which is apparently the definition of sport.

Not to me they're not. Women are human beings, and deserving of respect. They are not objects.

Looking at someone's bottom, and thinking 'hmm, that's nice', is only natural. Looking at someone's bottom, and placing it in the same context as a car or bike, is not. Women are not property, chattel or belongings.

When I look at a picture of an attractive woman, I may think 'she's fit, healthy and sexy', but tbh, I prefer real people. Because a picture does not in any way have a personality, a reality, a soul.

There's nowt wrong with looking at nice bottoms. I think some people on here need to address the way they see other human beings.

I think the rules are a little Quaker-esque. A bit of gratuitous posting of the opposite sex on friday can't really hurt anyone.

Unfortunatately, it's not my forum so I can't make the rules though.

Perhaps we should go and blockade Dover untill we get our way? Anyone want a lift?

I see all these threads as a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun. Sometines a bit smutty in the Seaside postcard/Benny Hill style. I rarely post on them but normally have a giggle at the comments. All good fun.
Yes, any out of line comments need to be modded, but you get worse on religion/Race/Iraq threads than on any of the FSB/Kylie/A&A threads IMO

Mark, please don't stop the A&A. It's a storm in a tea cup, it'll be alright

Guys, FWIW if you keep arguing I can't help thinking Mark et al will close A&A for good, simply for an easier life!

Personally I'm not particularly fussed either way - I'm not particularly bothered by sportswomen with their fur(!) showing; equally I know I'm far from the finest male specimen and don't feel threatened by pictures of other men.

wow - how grown-up do I sound?! 😉

I've appreciated and admire athletes.

I strive for my own six pack which I've had and now dieting again.

I think men or women athletes can inspire us. We have a choice

Also they are in shape for their sport-it can come with the training.
Rather than being pushed down peoples throats like fashion magazines.

But then again I could have posted a pic of Sharon Davies swimming... 😈

Personally, being 'well buff', I don't feel at all threatened or emasculated by pics of sexy blokes. I can see how some other, not so buff fellers might feel a little uptight. But it's their inadequacy, that's their problem really. Any bloke what complained about the FSB thread is a sad git. Get a life!
