[Closed] freeview HD

Its pretty good. Sport and nature stuff works the best. It doesn't add that much to drama and comedy. Was great during the world cup and wimbledon. I'm only 720p until santa brings a 1080 tv, though.

i sell this stuff..........freesat hd and a sky minidish is a cheaper and better option.

Got HD on our freesat box though only two channels at the moment BBC and ITV tis good though.

Ton that's what we have, moved in owner had sky left the dish, bought a Freesat HD box plugged it in all good.

Does Freeview have more HD channels than Freesat?

humax hd freesat £99+vat..........buy it from me and i will throw a dish and quad lnb in and you can watch it in 4 rooms then if you want.
30 mins labour from a sky or local sat engineer to fit the dish £25??
and you can cable and install it yourself.

so yes it is cheaper.

..or a £70 box from tesco and use your existing aerial. Not trying to do you out of living, just wondering.

Ton's tight - we have freesat, cheap, simple (I did all the dish aligning) and easy. But you don't get Dave... 🙁

The UHF signal is so ropey in so many places, the sat signal never is

I've got a humax freasat box, it's ace, it has a few kids channels, the horror channel, a few other ropey film channels and a loony conspiracy theory channel that freeview doesnt. I've got a freeview PVR as well and that has film 4 +1 and Dave amongst others, which freesat doesnt.

Ton do any other boxes than humax, use a toppy on freeview but may take a trip down the freesat route

I got a Sony TV that has built in freeview HD, really impressed with it (I wanted a Panasonic but it was £250 more for the same spec). Unfortunately there's only 3 HD channels at the moment.
