Buying my daughter a camcorder for Christmas - does anyone have any recommendations for free video editing/home movie making software? Doesn't matter if it's fairly basic. Getting swamped with results from Google, and it's something I have no experience of at all.

Windows Movie Maker comes free on a PC doesn't it? As does iMovie on Mac.

I'd be interested in this too. I can't get Movie Maker to work on my PC so would be interested what alternative there are.

There's a version of IMovie for the iPad but I dunno what it's like/how much it costs.
