As title!
The wife, our 10yr old daughter (who like boys stuff) and myself are off to York for a couple of days soon and are looking for things to do that don't cost a fortune - so any suggestions welcome.

Rowntrees Park is great, if she has a scooter there is a skate park aswell. Great for a river walk afterwards. Free
Museum Gardens are nice. Free
Holgate Windmill, just been full restored very interesting. Cheap
Boat hire
some good galleries and Museums aswell.

+1 on the bar walls. museum gardens is nice, with an old ruined abbey plus the museum too.
