Lost five hens this morning, three with heads removed. Didn't take the cocks though just the hens.
Know they goto eat, but they just kill for the sake of killing & leave um dead & injured.

Neighbour lost two yesterday.

Getting the gun out now, it's getting personal

Why not booby trap the hen run? You know, some sort of Mr T type deadly device where when foxy comes a-hunting, it triggers a trip wire and gets blown into small pieces with a nail bomb. You might need to issue the hens with flack jackets first, but boy would it be fun making this work.

Foxes bury their kills in 'larders' and come back where they judge there no risk to collect the rest of their kills.

Most of the times humans are on the scene by then so they don't make a re-appearance.

It looks like wanton killing to us as a result.

They are a bit of a pain. I do pest control for several farmers and a chap down the road has a bird farm i'd call it.

Fox was visiting each night, killing full grown adult Geese and just leaving them each time, guy nearly lost his entire stock of birds in a matter of weeks.

We have a few Rhea running wild (well actually thy are livid) round here. Perhaps I need to change to a bigger bird with much bigger eggs.

I'm surprised that they take Geese. I wouldn't go near em.

I must admit to liking the Rhea though. That would give foxy a bit of a shock.
