I been playing the P-class ghost league all last week. Had it since release and not even raced on half the tracks yet, lot more content than 5 for sure

5 was a big disappointment.

have been holding on getting this - waiting until I can find a 2nd hand copy but am hearing good things from everyone I know with it.

Spent far too much time in 3 and 4 - skipped 5 as I didn't have an Xbone at release.

Can't wait to get back racing - and have been looking at how I can get a wheel/pedal combo installed that I can pack away into a cupboard

Big Forza Fan

I spend far too many hours on Forza 4.

Forza 6 is really making me want to push the new console button

Amazingly, I'm much preferring playing Forza 6 on one screen and a cheap Thrustmaster TX wheel than playing Project Cars on my triple 27" monster PC with fancypants Fanatec clubsport goodness ... Forza 6 is fantastic! I'm loving how easy it is to pick up and have a good old bumper to bumper race with the slightly crazy AI.

Another long-time Forza fan here. Finally got around to sitting through the two-and-a-bit hour endurance race at Daytona in this one at the weekend.

Quite a few bugs in this one though. I've never received that free Ford GT despite doing the demo, I've not been awarded a couple of achievements or badges, that sort of thing. Today's update might sort them out.

Have any of you managed to beat Romain Grosjean's time in the F1 Renault?

Is the AI capable of giving you a proper race these days? The AI in 4 was a big disappointment

Yeah I'm quite enjoying the AI. They are crap on some tracks, but on others they have really good speed and pull off some great braking overtakes. In 4 they were consistent but slow, in 6 they are faster, but tend to crash a lot!

Had Forza 2/3/4 and enjoyed them all. Had all the GT games and also had GTR2 for the PC. Enjoying Project Cars at the minute, love my sim racing.

It's good until you want to play online then it's window licker central with lobbies 99.3% full of people who should be playing Mario kart, not the best racing simulator to date.

Demolition Derby where everyone is Sherif John Burnell, pit manoeuvres are us

Are there any decent wheels for the xbox one?
Any recommendations? Budget up to £150-ish, maybe £200 if really necessary.

Just beginning to click now after the initial been there, done that feeling. I'm enjoying it as much as I did Forza 4 now, although I'm not keen on the 'career' mode. Leagues, rivals and multiplayer are all brilliant though. Graphics and performance are amazing, the feeling of speed driving the Lotus F1 car on the Spa challenge is scary 😀

FeeFoo - slightly over budget, but the thrustmater TX can be had for £220 from Amazon.it and is a good wheel base with slightly crappy rim and pedals.

No Xbox 360 wheels work with the Xbox one unfortunately.

Cheers GF Junky. Will check that out.
That's the problem I have. I've got an ok wheel with my race seat for the ps3, but the wheel is not compatible with ps4.

Just had a quick look and it's gone up on amazon.it but amazon.es has it for 300 euros (£230ish shipped). The pedals work fine once you put something rubbery behind the pedal to make it more progressive, I cut up a bit of on old vibration mount to make a rubber cone and superglued it on. I also spent £70 on the GTE rim for it which feels much better quality.

That's a very nice setup.

I had a spin last night, mate brought his One over. It's very pretty, isn't it?

Anybody using the Thrustmaster TX. We have treated our selves to one each at work with the recycling bonus.

I`ve not tried mine yet but two others are struggling to stop the cars sliding out. Project cars seems to work almost out of the box but no luck or youtube settings are working.=

Make sure you are using normal not simulation steering setting. Forza has always done weird things with simulation steering and a wheel. Also change the TX to 540 degrees so you can react and countersteer much quicker. I think its Mode + Dpad Left/Right to change the rotation settings. Also use Manual with Clutch setting in game and turn on autoclutch on the the TX - Mode + A to turn on which makes the status light flash constantly.

Slight thread hijack - does an Xbox One need a decent internet connection in normal play? I don't mean to download games more just when actually playing?

Have they fixed the Freeplay that they borked in Forza 5?

Freeplay in Forza 4 had the ability to do splitscreen, with AI and with Kudos points rather than times.

Freeplay splitscreen in F5 is very dull.

What are the steering wheels like these days - do they in any way simulate driving a car? My only ever experience (possibly original X-box, or PS One maybe) was that it was more like a button and you might as well use the controller.

It does flash on screen if it has a weak connection and you do notice the lag for online play when weak but for normal offline career mode it makes no difference.

Switching off simulation has made a it difference.

Thanks
Thrustmaster Tx feels amazing, I had a steering wheel for the PS3 and thought it was ace but this feels nothing like it.
Using ironing board as a base but will upgrade soon to something that is more suitable.

£220 from dabs.com

Just added a Wheel Stand Pro to the TX wheel. Bit of money for a stand but it is so solid it aint moving even when throwing the car about.

I used the mode button to change the sensitivity to level 1 and have 900 degree steering. I still think im faster with the pad but the wheel takes the game to a new level.
