Why do I have to Edit twice to change a forum post?

I can type a post and submit it.

Then go back into thread, click edit, make changes, press submit, then when the edited thread auto reloads, my change has not happened.

I click Edit again, the text box shows my changed post just as I had typed it, so I click Submit again, and this time it changes the posted message.

Is it just a lag in the change being published to the database? Is it just me?

you don’t. Just wait a minute then refresh. The edit will be there.

^This.  Just takes time.  Complete your edit, make a tea, check back and your edited text will be there.

It is what it is.

Stop whining.

Yeah cache I think, probably the same reason as the thread order doesn't cope with the last minute changes.

But with all things just take the time to do it right first time 😉

Think before typing?

I try too to, but fat thumbs don’t help neither autocorrect or predictive text.

Its annoyance, but once edited it does get embedded...
