I have bit the Bullet and bought a Forestry England Car Parking pass this year for across the country. I am Derby based so it will be mainly used at Cannock and Sherwood alongside my local Hicks lodge. Can anyone recommend another good local Forestry England sites to ride within say 60-80 mins drive of Derby?

I have to sell one of the kids bikes, nothing special its a couple of year old Forme Kinder 26. What do we all think is the best platform as Facebook Market Place is my preferred route but am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

Forestry England have this map, not sure which would get recommended. You've reminded me that I haven't played at Hicks Lodge for years, I used to volunteer there.

Sherwood Pines is about the most boring/flat forest in north Notts. Try Watch wood or Sansom Wood near Calvert on, some lovely snoopy off piste stuff or just go exploring around any of the woods north of Nottingham. For riding with kids there's some lovely low consequence singletrack

Delamere Forest is good for a blast but most of the good stuff isn't marked.

I sold 1 of my kids bikes on Ebay just at the weekend, got kind of what I'd hoped for.
