The new addition to the fleet doesn't have Bluetooth built in, looking at eBay and there is an abundance of FM/Bluetooth things that plug into the cigarette lighter which allows you to play music as well. Past experience of these FM transmitters have been awful, are they any better these days ?

Any recommendations ?

thanks in advance

I found them very hit or miss (Belkin). Key for me was getting the transmitter as close as possible to the antenna rather than the radio.it worked but there was massive amounts if farting around around on long journeys trying to find empty channels. Would still get another though (this was pure cabled rather than Bluetooth)

Xaoimi roidmi works well once you get it set up but the instructions and app are very Chinese.

How about a USB port?

Does it have an aux in?
The pure highway 400 gives you dab radio as well as Bluetooth audio but needs an phono socket.
If you do any long distances it's a pain with fm transmitters to find a clear channel that never gets interference, I had one that identified its channel using RDS and would jump to the next clear one and the car radio would retune and follow.

Now that IS clever and how it should work. Likes
