My wife bought me a MaPan tablet for my birthday, pretty good it is.
Bit crap as standard, but now iv'e uploaded a few descent apps it's not bad at all.
I still can't watch BBC I Player as i have no flash player installed- and when i tried to upload it it said my device wasn't compatible. So what else can i do to get things like I Player (i like to catch up on Moto GP and F1 when im on holiday etc).
My tab is an Android 2.2 OS, i see it's now up to 4.0 so im already out of date!!!
How do i upgrade to the latest android?

Help 😆

Odd. You shouldn't need it. I can watch iPlayer (via the iPlayer website or the app) on my iPhone and iPad - neither of which have Flash.

You won't be able to watch iPlayer abroad anyway (unless you fanny about with UK proxies etc)

Which MaPan tablet do you have?

There are some official firmware updates here but without knowing what model you have it's hard to know what to suggest;

I didn't know that you had to feed it 😆 (boom, tish- i'll get my coat)

Iv'e only just learned what an ice cream sandwich was- i wondered why all the 'leccy shops were advertising ice cream 😆

I don't know how to go about that- can you upgrade your android? How? Is it better?
Any suggestions welcome.....

Theoretically,

If you go into Settings / About Phone, there should be a 'check for upgrade' option there. Depends on the device though.

The other approach would be to look for your device on androidforums.com, see what's available.

Iv'e done that, still a 2.2 OS. Guess it's all updated with security issues etc....
The 2.2 isn't bad, once i added you tube, hotmail, facebook, fleabay etc it's all running nicely. Not as fast as my pc but it's not bad.
Iv'e put Opera mobile internet browser on and it's way faster than any other android web browser iv'e used before.
Definately recommended 😀
