Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to get some kind of adapter to plug a Firestick (hdmi) into a VGA projector?
The projector also has connectors for audio (3.5mm jack), yellow video connector, and s-video.
Or are there newer projectors that will take hdmi input (or is there something fundamental that means that it isn't possible?)
You can totally get hdmi projectors
You can get an adaptor- make sure it’s the right ‘gender’ - ie a fesmale hdmi socket as mostly they seem to be the other way round
Going from HDMI to VGA is going to be tricky. You're going from digital to analogue so conversion will be necessary, and HDMI can be secure (dunno if this applies to a fire stick) for copyright reasons so the display end may need to identify as a display. I doubt you're going to find a converter that is both cheap and reliable. HDMI projector would be your best bet I'd hazard.
