walsden moor...started about 2 hours ago and spreading wildly across the moors...thats most of my riding area...

lol molgrips.... going to have to change my riding route for tomorow.. i dont fancy seeing perished sheep or what have you every feet or so.. grrrr....
some farmerist did the same last week or the week before in north wales, the fire brigade had to come out and deal with all the fires, they thought had been started by an arsonist.
What tyres for smouldering peat?
Oh and sheep tend to run away when they see flames. Although if they don't manage to escape you will have delicious roast lamb to snack on during your ride.

Part of my previous house [sold about 4 years ago] went up in flames a few weeks ago. Turns out the fire was started by heating lights being used to cultivate some type of, ahem, weed in the roof space... 😯
It's still burning above Walsden - has been all night.
Was heading for the houses near the PBW earier, luckily the Fire Brigade had managed to get up there.
Will have a closer look in the morning - looks like a bad one.
