Already have one I've not had chance to do anything with yet. Amazing little cars, this'll be my 2nd if I ever get around to it!

I still have fond memories of being at Uni in York in early 90's and my friend Kate leaving for the drive home in her old 500 with her 6ft cheese plant stuck out of the sunroof as she drove away, still makes me giggle!

Spent a fare bit of time in italy and they are everywhere (500's not Italians). Great little cars, some are dayly's, others are just out for the sunday chapel run. The daily drivers tend to be a bit shonky, the weekenders in top nick/restored. I much prefer the daily drivers. What is crazy is how small they are.

Would be great as an electric car I reckon.

Italy has fab old car stock IMO, heaps of old fiats in good nick, including the perennial favourite the panda, idealy in 4x4 flavour.

When I was in La Palma a couple of years ago there was a SEAT 500/600 rally in the main town. Pretty much the same as the Fiat but Spanish-built by SEAT, all in lovely condition. I suppose they don't rust as much in southern climes.

Car SOS rescued the LBS reps fiat 500.

Not much of the original car left but done for a great bloke. When I watched the reveal I must have got some dust in my eye. Looks fantastic now.
