Glastonbury won't let glass bottles on site for obvious reasons,
Was looking at purchasing some Punk IPA cans but at £20 12x330ml its really pretty pricey,
Has anyone had success in transferring beer from a glass bottle to a plastic bottle?

Anywhere I can source cheap cans of decent Ale?

Not interested in the likes of Fosters or Stella!

In my opinion a box of wine with said box removed is ideal for festivals and if you need to smuggle it in you can put it up your jumper and pretend it's a stoma bag! So how about http://www.sadlersales.co.uk/index.php/online-shop/bottled-beers/poly-pin-worcester-sorcerer.html?

Perfect! That hop bomb has top reviews, poly pins! I thought that was just a cider thing!
Thanks!

Mmmm, beer in a bag! Thanks for posting that, duly bookmarked. I have a festival coming up, could be handy. 😀

You need something to carry that beer bag in though

Drink in public whilst masquerading as a responsible parent.

I think (mini) Kegs are allowed on site?

Surely a camelback is the obvious answer? Or two or three?

I suspect the beer would be pretty flat by Friday Lunch time?!

Dear God! If by the end of the first day at Glastonbury you can still discern the difference between beers, or rum, or a bucket of Martini for that matter, then you're not consuming anywhere near enough Class A's

Crate of wifebeater and a shedload of MDMA. Sorted! 😀

I'd be inclined to agree but not great for someone that became reliant on 3 grams to get me through the day,
the last time I took the stuff I chatted up my wife not knowing who she was, Apparently I groped her.
Needless to say she doesn't trust me on chemicals anymore, to be honest I wouldn't trust myself either and I'd rather not deal with the home wrecking comedowns!

I have friends who use Camelbaks - don't know if they need to or not but they fill the tubes with water, just in case an overzealous security person wants to taste-test it.

Not an unreasonable request?

does it have to be middleclass craft ale (dont get me wrong, I love a bit of brewdog but taking it to glasto is a bit of a waste) something like wainrights (tesco do it in 500ml cans) is my goto camping ale.

Funny you should say that, I've just come back from Tescos with a four pack of Wainrights and Old Golden Hen,

Going to leave two of each in the fridge and the other two in the sun,
Let the testing commence!

I too have been giving this some thought as I'm also off to Glasto, I've come to the conclusion that i'll just take cans of cider, it's what I always end up drinking when I'm there anyway.

A few days, Made shorter if you choose to have "Bright beer" the method in removing the sediment,
I've emailed them to see if they think it's a possibility.

I've come to the conclusion that i'll just take cans of cider

Used to enjoy it but the Sulphars that they add is getting ridiculous,
Ruins the taste for me and after a few of them gives me a headache,
Real cider is always good, Tastes great when warm!
