Why do they have to look so much like.... fan heaters?
I'd like a nice looking one.
Any suggestions?

I've got a JM3 (could be JMB in some dodgy font) that kicks out loads of heat and isn't too noisey £10 @ Argos a few years ago. I think it looks like a fan heater as it's design is dictated by it's function. I think Dyson are developing a new heater that will do to fan heating what cyclone suction did to vacume cleaning.
