What a pleasure it was watching F1 without poorly timed adverts being thrown in willy nilly. I'd almost forgotten what it felt like. Cracking race and good to see Mr Kamikasi carrying on his usual tricks but without feeling the need to take anyone with him on this occassion. 😉

Yup - Eddie Jordan needs the chop

It was fairly obvious that DC was irritated by him

excellent coverage - practice on friday, looped on BBCi, qualifying on sat, looped also and the race today, looped too.
option of R5 Live commentary on BBCi too - excellent.

Another vote for getting rid of Eddy, just bugged me and added nothing.

I found Jonathan Legard irritating, sounds like voice over man!

Who's the commentator? I wasn't a huge fan of him, he just doesn't get as excited as whoever did ITV. At least he doesn't feel the need to mention Hamilton every 60 seconds though.

Overall I thought the coverage was a great first effort, no doubt it will improve with time. Yes EJ was irritating in the show after the race, but at least he has an opinion. It was great not to have James Allen making totally irrelivent comments, too.

Button was very cool throughout and Hamilton didn't have too bad a race really. The mix-up under the safety car at the end was a shame, would've been nice to see two Brits on the podium.

Ledgard gets a second chance. Eddie Jordan doesn't though. Even after Button won he decided it was because Rubens did something to help him by being an old hand or something. It's not like Jenson is new to F1, this is his tenth year of F1.

I thought Jonathan Ledgard was ok, he's been on 5 for a while now, so just getting used to tv. Brundle just gets better and better though.

I thought the race was fantastic, like a wet race in the dry if that make sense?

Melbourne is quite a tight track. I reckon kers will come into its own on tracks with more longer straights so they can take advantage of it.

Oh and BBC have ever so kindly put the F1 on IPlayer for free Clicky

Why do ITV cover sport so badly? Both Sky & the Beeb get it pretty much spot on.
