MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I have a row of dates along the top of my page, and then dates plus values down, like this
Date 1 / Price / Today / Today plus 7 / Today plus 14 / Today plus 21 / etc
I then have a long column of dates and prices under the first 2 headings, which I want to be able to put into the right column basd on them being equal or greater to the first date, but less than the next day in the top row.
Trying to do a nested if function, however it's not really working. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Not that I'm any sort of an Excel expert but,
I'm really not sure that I follow your explanation of what you're trying to do. An example might help, perhaps?
I'd consider myself a fairly advanced Excel user but I really couldn't follow what you are trying to do. Maybe if you post a screenshot of the speadsheet it may be easier to explain.
Same. Email addy in profile. I used some detailed parts of Excel, mostly to make it sing with GIs, however you lost me!
Ditto. I suspect the Excel is much easier than understanding the task.
Something like?
=if(and(date1>column date,date1<column+1 date),1,0)*Price
Sounds like a pivot table might help. Or better still paste it in to MS Access and use between as a filter.
