Hi guys, I'm pretty much an excel noob and would like to know if the following is possible (and obviously, how to do it)

I have a spread sheet of two columns - company and order value.  there are multiple orders for each company.

is it possible to group and autosum the order values by company? ive sorted the customer into alphabetical order and started doing it manually but there are in excess of 2000 customers so its a long process.

I'm trying to create a list of the top spending customers so once ive got the total orders by customer, it should be easy to sort on that column.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Pivot table will do this.

Just follow the instructions.

I'm not an expert on them but if you want to Google it, I'm pretty sure a Pivot Table is what you need.

If you don't want to go for the pivot table (some people get freaked out by pivots) then a SUMIF function would work as well, plenty of good examples if you google that and watch a few you tube clips.
