Have they got a right to be angry with the British government for not getting them out quick enough?
Are they not there for financial gain happy to support Gaddaffi and take his countries money.
Stinks a bit to me or have I got it wrong?
I see your point and agree to a large extent, however the government seem to have been very slow on the uptake with this.
I think that while other "friendly" nations like Poland, Portugal etc have been willing to help, the historical issues surrounding the UK &US relationships with Libya have meant it was right to go very carefully in how to go in and get people out - the propaganda value for Gadaffi of a "British invasion" or similar would have been unthinkable, and have served only to prop him up - and I would imagine that the Foreign Office had that at the forefront of their mind in deciding how and when to go in.
I've nothing against the government getting them back grattis, but I imagine that many of them were rubbing their hands together in glee at not paying UK tax before this kicked off.
