We will be in touch
Going to Preston for a few days next week for work - thinking of throwing the bike in the hire car and doing some riding on the Thursday evening and maybe on the Friday on the way home to Newcastle.
Ive seen a bit about Gisburn and Lee quary - which one would you go to for a few hours - bearing in mind i will need to drive from Preston - leaving at 5 ish.
Gisburn's easier to get to from Preston, just up the A59. The bogtrotters and the Groovy Tribe are clubs in the area that might be doing evening rides if you fancy being sociable

Longride (which is a bit cheeky) or Rivington are also possible and nearer to Preston than Gisburn. If it was between Lee Quarry and Gisburn, then Gisburn is far easier to get to as nbt says.

not much difference time wise to get there. Lee Quarry is better IMHO and has a nice skills area. Rivvy is far closer and has some excellent descents. Shame would ride something with you but cant do thursdays or Fridays
I'd say Rivi
I'd say Rivi
because this is him attempting to ride Longridge:
