Theyve got no money to do the soert of job,

I'm quite sure the money will be found if it looks like a good investment.

Being a bit of a Eurovision [s]connoseur,[/s] [s]connoseiur[/s] fan and having watched the two semi finals, it's interesting to note how many countries have entered boring-dirge songs that they know have no chance of winning. It's like they've been told by their governments "you can enter if you like, but don't you f***ing dare win"

Ireland and the mighty Jedward stand a decent chance though. They've not learned their lesson from winning it twice (three times) on the run in the 90's and consequently nearly bankrupting RTE...

Not necessarily a bad thing if less money is spent on Eurovision, it's a luxury we can no longer afford. Put it out to private funding so we can see whether we really need it.

Shame this one didnt make it through.
Phonetically amusing (which suits my very base sense of humour) although it only means "shake yer bum" really.

Vote Spain!

Surely the Leicester legend that is Engelbert Humperdinck has to be in with a shout?

Has he balls, the song is terrible. It's obvious we don't want to win either.

The Austrian bad-boy rappers were funny. And the Turkish one last night; I'd swear it was Sacha Baron-Cohen's latest character...

Jedward or the Russian grannies FTW. I'll be voting for the spiky haired Paddys ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought the plan was for Jedward to sing 'my lovely horse'!

..... the song is terrible..

This is Eurovision we are talking about. 'Terrible' seems to be the benchmark for a winning song.

Well, yeah, they're all generally (and hilariously, that's the appeal) terrible, but Englehump's is terribly dull.

And there's rarely been a dull winner. Remember Lordi? ๐Ÿ™‚

- 1994 Eurovision "Rock & Roll Kids" Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan.

- 2006 Eurovision "Never Let You Go" Dima Bilan.

- 2011 Eurovision "Running Scared", Ell and Nikki.

There are quite a few others too.

Yeah, fair enough, Rock and Roll kids is not exactly a toe-tapper.

The other two are reasonably catchy though, if not exactly pushing forward the boundaries of popular music.

Englehump's effort is still a no-hoper though.
