Anyone else think this is a bit "off"
eBay seller has item "X" at £445.00 + £10 shipping with "make an offer"
I offer several lower levels until they come back with £425.00+£10 shipping
They then email me after the offer and they've changed their listing to £493.00!
They offer it at £440 shipped stating that the £ has dropped a lot (10% is the figure they quote)so they've revised their prices.
I reply stating that on the 12th the pound was at 1.1887 when they made the offer of £425.00+£10 shipping
Its now 1.1962
Less than 0.6%
"well since June 23rd its dropped"they say.
Hmmmm - really? says I.

I know its only £5 but its still rich considering they offered the £435 themselves.

Pretty off, but not mega. If its only a fiver and you want it... take the new deal. If you are prepared to fight for it, accept their existing offer and pay....if they then want to back out of it its a black mark for them on fleabay.

They want to deal OUTSIDE of eBay now yet want £5 more than inside it with buyer protection.
Issue is the "offer" has now expired through eBay so can't buy them at that price as the system won't let me.
Considering how much they are saving wanting to operate outside of eBay - yes I think £5 more than THEIR offer is off hora.
