Will do, Chewkw. I'm still in the EU. I haven't gone from having 27 allies to 27 adversaries today.
We're getting an allotment cos we're all gonna need to provide for ourselves before, during and after the coming catastrophe
Well done sociopathic wrong'uns of the world.. you've gotten your way

It's easy. Just come and live here.
Nae racists here, our sectarianistos ate them years ago. The only colour bar is don't wear green in the wrong part of Glasgow. ๐
just to make Britain 'great again'
Was this the bit when we asset stripped India or could pack our orphans off to Australia? Was it the bit when we had the worlds largest navy? Maybe it was when we could force the Chinese to consume our Opium? or do the Black and Tans count?
I guess we could use the aircraft carriers sans planes to ship jam to China and force the Chinese to buy it or we'll scream and scream!
I read that as ship Jamba to China.
Sorry Jamba. Sorry China. ๐
She's lost control again - joy division
I think that top trumps it
if we're doing songs,
Two offers from U2, Bad and New Years Day
Lose Control - James --- obviously
The Kids Aren't Alright - The Offspring --- get the demographics in there
On the plus side, generally when things are shit, the music is better.

Well me and some colleagues went to the pub at lunchtime today to celebrate. The next two years are going to be ghastly but worth it.
Are any of you remainers planning to emigrate? If its half as bad as you predict then really you should be making contingency plans. A Remain mate has an option to move to Japan and is considering it seriously. I don't agree but at least he is being consistent.

Sorted out an Irish Passport and spending my spare time brushing up the French and German.
Got to have options and as i am a citizen of no where....

By the time I'll be in a position to, I won't be able to. Thanks to Brexit. You have slammed that particular door on me and my family.
The next two years are going to be ghastly but worth it.
Two? Even Jamba reckoned it'd be 10 before we could see where we were.
Are any of you remainers planning to emigrate?
Not me. I imagine our family will do okay regardless, and I wouldn't want to take the kids away from their grandparents. And I always have the option to move back to Scotland if that does somehow pan out to be a better option
Madness, Shut up.
It will be a great opportunity for me as far as I am concerned ... ๐
The future is bright. Very bright.
You make your own future btw.

I just dont fancy my kids having to live and look for work in a truly little britain
It all depends how badly the Brexiteers screw it up

"canadian"
Errr, Canada isn't in the EU, either!
.
Two? Even Jamba reckoned it'd be 10 before we could see where we were.
No I said it wouod be 5-10 before we saw the real benefits of global trade deals and superior growth from non-European economies.
Onwards and upwards towards a bright new global future
I see Kimbers you are rejecting the EU too focusing on a country outside the Union.
You make your own future btw.
I had one planned but 52% ****ed that up for me. I know I keep going on about it but most people really don't seem to get it.
the real benefits of global trade deals and superior growth from non-European economies.
What will these deals look like? We don't put tariffs on their stuff, what do we do for them?
Jamba, you seem to have missed that Britain will be contributing more in the future if that's what the EU decides. I hope (and will vote for) tarifs that more than match the UK's current contribution for access.
Edukator you seem to have missed we will contributing ZERO. We have no legal obligation to contribute anything including for pensions of Brits who worked for the EU. There is simp,y no such thing as a "divorce payment". See House of Lords. The EU are hoping they can blackmail us by refusing to discuss trade until we agree to pay their ransom. We absolutely should call their bluff and go WTO and let them know it publically. WTO tariffs are fixed and only variable in exceptional circumstances.
WTO tariffs are particularly onerous on food, French farmers will go apoplectic when confronted with those.
Let's have a bit of The Wildhearts, while we're at it

Oh no Im looking at a country with a decent trade deal with the EU ๐ , some decent values, open, good investment in science tolerant etc, unlike brexshit britain.......
So you don't actually want to live in the EU or in a country with Freedom of Movement ?
We don't put tariffs on their stuff, what do we do for them?
Buy all their mass produced tarrif-free meat and wonder why our farming industry is collapsing?

funnily enough its not just about the EU, its about living somewhere with an open tolerant attitude
brexshit bitain doesnt look like its going to be that....
once its apparent that brexshit has made the lives of those at the bottom no better, infact worse, who will the swivel eyed start blaming next?

No need to emigrate. Just move up to Scotland and vote in our indyref for independence.
Despite all the BS spouted by the Tories we will be in the EU.

Firstly, import and export.
Secondly, small niche manufacturing.
Thirdly, service industry.
That's all I can say coz further details will only encourage competition for me. ๐
"funnily enough its not just about the EU"
LOL, so all these posts and now you're not that fussed if you live in the EU or not.
Priceless.

If you have planned properly you would also include contingency.
Therefore, you did not plan well and one plan is certainly not enough.

im glad Iive tickled you so
what I want to do is live in the EU & Britain, sadly thats being taken away from me.......
maybe scotland will sort it out, a lot of EU science funding could be heading their way if they can get membership sorted, which would be good for scientists
as chewk points out, its good to plan ahead and Im keeping my options open
if brexshit is as badly executed as the clowns running the show lead me to believe, this is one sinking ship Im prepared to leave
So - some Bobs on the radio this afternoon. One Welsh Bob equivalent, I'll call him Dai, was going on about how the EU had undercut South Wales steel with imports from Poland, and how after Brexit heavy industry would return to the area.
Can this happen? Who's going to put big factories here when it's not an EU country so they might as well put their money in China or somewhere in the developing world? We don't have the advantage of being an EU member any more, and we also don't have the low wages and other dubious laws that make developing countries more attractive.
Am I missing something? (serious question)
That's all I can say coz further details will only encourage competition for me.
Fair enough, but can you give some hint how leaving the EU has made this opportunity possible? i.e. what was it about being in the EU that previously prevented you from establishing your niche manufacturing, import/export service industry?
No, you have just planned badly that's all.
If you have planned properly you would also include contingency.
I will not engage the troll.
Not revealing any more details ... very sneaky that. ๐GrahamS - Member
