"Bring back Great Britain.
Remember the London Olympics?
Feeling proud to be part of a welcoming, competitive, country?"
Are non-EU countries unwelcoming?
Can't say I've ever found that.
Anyone heard from him of late?
He is in the USA doing a speaking tour.
There are claims though he is being lined up for the Nato Secretary General.
I look forward to him arranging a referendum around membership of it.
Why is the bill taking us out called the 'Great' Repeal Bill?
Its taken from the representation of the people act 1832 aka the Great Reform Act to get the hope and glory singers singing away.
igm - MemberI've asked Brexies on here to tell us what they've been doing. The answer has been silence. Nothing. The Brexies are sat on their fat lazy behinds I think.
You asked me directly but then I voted to remain.
What job did you give up to embark on your current crusade?

I'm ashamed of the path we are going down.

Who said that? I was saying that I feel we are no longer as welcoming as we were, and that this referendum and its aftermath are key to that. I feel a loss in pride for my country… "feelings" and "national pride" are important to those of us against what is happening now, it is not only of importance to people who want us to leave all the Europeon institutions and agreements.
and so it begins...
A monumental **** up, that is all this is.
kimbers - MemberWell this will please sbob, as the cult of Brexit demands complete supplication to its wondrous isolationism
I voted to remain, you 'tard.
GrahamS - MemberWhat search engine did you use to find those kimbers?
You'll need to pick the fourteenth whist pretending not to notice the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth and eleventh to be credible.

😀 How's the blame game going today peeps?
I'm so angry, I could crush a grape. 😳 ashamed and embarrassed indeed.
Blame game? No point playing a game when you know before the start who's going to win.
Sure thing Dazh, whatever you say.. sounds a little bit like a Daily Mail/Farage/Trump headline doughnut, oh well if you can't beat'em, join'em.
I'm gonna think about using caps lock in a frickin minute..aaarrrgghhh!
Another important step today towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
Cameron a believer in democracy, well if the Indy Ref had been a Yes he'd have been hailed as a hero North of the Border.
Finally we where given a direct say in our future and we rejected all the corruption and idiocy of the European Union superstate project

Quote of the day.
But who is this 'we' you speak of Jam? 😉

Hurrah, British corruption and idiocy for all!
We're all happy and united now, apparently.
What a crock.
Day off, it's pissing it down, fits the mood completely.
Do something positive today to make yourself better.
I took an old Buddleia to the dump.
Take that Brexiters.
It was nice while it lasted. But then the freedom to have a more desperate labour pool, a dimmer future for our kids, and an outright neutering of our diplomatic soft power was too good an opportunity to pass up, I suppose.
What a silly island.

Classy
Sums it all up really.
You OK Huns ?
xxxx
@jambalaya why do you think your POV is in such a minority here yet managed to secure an (albeit tiny) majority in the referendum? Serious question.

For all that I think he's a peasant crushing born to rule upper class Tory turd, I'll give him his due for that referendum. Maybe not a hero though. 🙂

Here is why... repeated across the southern UK
Fixed it.
100% of the council areas in Scotland were a Remain vote.
Here is why... repeated across the UK
Old people ignorant of the consequences of their vote, who expect the steelworks to come back?
They might come back. If our currency and living standards fall low enough, menial labour in the UK will become competitive again.
"It suggests the model for the future could be a form of associate membership, currently enjoyed by Ukraine. "
In 10 years time, as we race to the bottom, on the Chinese mountain biking website "Ringletrack" they'll be discussing whether those cheap look a like British frames are any good.

I think some of the doom and gloom is unwarranted though. It is all predicated on nothing changing.
There won't be an unlimited supply of cheap labour, so employers may find their hoped for race to the bottom with wages doesn't happen.
We are going to have to increase the number of skilled professionals by providing training here. No longer will we be able to strip mine poorer countries for them.
It will probably be very like the aftermath of a war. There will be an initial period where people will adjust, survive, and get used to England's new status as Trump's poodle.
Molgrips is right if the £ achieves parity with the € and the $ and the Tories keep minimum wage/benefits static then 3 years down the line we have halved our labour cost base in real terms, mmmm make I should start looking for a sweat shop to purchase.

So if anyone voted leave to try to slow urbanisation/growth they made the right call?

All taken from the same page as my post you quoted.
Now I doubt kimbers needs a white night, but I believe your steed is lame as judging by the above you've arrived a little late. 💡

Or companies move operations to countries where they can more reliably get the staff they need.
"There won't be an unlimited supply of cheap labour,"
There will.
Importing workers isn't going away.
The one thing this lot most definitely won't be doing is reducing the supply of cheap labour that their paymasters demand.
As this becomes glaringly apparent over the next couple of years, there are going to a lot of very unhappy racists!
there are going to a lot of very unhappy racists!
That might be the only good thing to come out of Brexit.
Maybe we should cosy up to our non-EU neighbour Norway. Still, what they want with a bunch of knuckle draggers?

Did they not already threaten to veto UK joining EEA?
Veto was on a large country joining EFTA, which makes sense given it is only small countries now. If we were to be part of EEA, but not in EU, we'd need a new way of doing so. No way back into EFTA realistically. Scotland on the other hand would be a very good fit with EFTA memership.
"there are going to a lot of very unhappy racists!"
Why would a racist be unhappy at the continuation of a system that gives overwhelming priority to European Immigrants at the expense of people from different races?
Which system is that?
Most migrants into the UK are from non-EU countries, despite the UK being surrounded by EU countries.
Anyone hear David Starkey on Radio 4 this morning?Apparently Farage is a modern day Henry the VIII (in a good way), Nick Clegg should be quartered for treason and Brexit could be the start of the new British Empire.
Starkexit please.
