PS - chewkw, I know I'll be fine. The vulnerable won't be. Our children won't be (though I'll be doing what I can to sort that for my own).
Still, at least your Dear Leader has promised to leave the country - now there's a leave campaign I can support.
There are much worst countries in this world then the way you feel about UK ...
There may be worse but i had hoped the UK had grown up. I was wrong and the racists have been given free reign again. I have no desire to live in a country where being called a paddy is acceptable, where being regarded as an idiot or a provo is normal.
Growing up and being insulted because of a name, you soon understand that you do not belong, the more you see and hear the more you learn about what it means to be "English", i have no interest.
I will do what is in my interests. I have no loyalty to the UK and unlike many i am not tied to a UK passport.
So the DUP (yes that's right the DUP not SF) were saying this morning that Irish reunification is back on the agenda partly due to Brexit, the government in Scotland is working towards independence spurred on by Brexit, and while the Welsh haven't said anything definite there are some grumbly noises.
The question for today then is, whether or not you think it will happen, is the break up of the UK a price worth paying for Brexit?
Or for any Scot Nats on, is leaving the EU a price worth paying for independence?
Nick Clegg piece on News night last night from Ebbw Vale was sad.
--angry comment redacted--.
Anyone see the bloke on the news this morning living in Spain and was pro-brexit because he was worried about immigration!!!!?
Today, I'm slightly sad. Today is the day we formally tell our neighbours to go away, while expecting them to go out of the way to help us. Politically I think the next two years will be beyond difficult as we try to negotiate our way out, socially ever more devicive, economically stagnant.
I know long term we as a nation will bounce back, but I think we will be a divided, poorer nation for a while.
TM should have waited till April 1st, would've been far more fitting
Have I read this correctly (yesterdays paper)?
Richard Dyson, one of the high profile Brexiteers (who has alot of his manufacturing made abroad and outside of the EU so a bit disingenuous really) is now appealing to Theresa May to not apply immigration limits to young European engineers so he can employ them in his business.
If that's true, how lovely he encourages people to vote Brexit but doesn't want it to to apply to his business.
Keep the faith European citizens, sit back and enjoy the show as the sheer lack of resource, understanding and arrogance by the government fails to address the needs of the rabid brexitears (not a typo) as poor people deal with inflation, rising interest rates, no change to immigration (perceived or otherwise) and the ultimate erosion of wages and benefits. Then the 48% tell them to go and * themselves when they need help. You reap what you sow ***s enjoy.
Dyson does not give a **** about anything except his empire.
Does anyone buy Dysons anymore anyway?
Part of the past not the future.
we are free!
Who's this "we"?
Today, I'm slightly sad.
Today I'm bloody livid. May says she will promise to "represent every person in the whole United Kingdom", that this marks "the moment for the country to come together".
Sorry to be grumpy but you don't represent me or my views and I'm not feeling disposed to "come together" with the wreckers.
As per my regular challenge to the Brexies, they won't pull together to try and sort this, why should anyone else?
After seeing Dysons end of year results it would appear that people are buying their products by the truckload.
Well it's going to be interesting to see how the government actually goes about the Brexit "sale" and as anyone who sells for a living at the higher end of the market will know that controlling the agenda is key to closing a deal. Now I might be wrong but the client (EU) seems to own the agenda as we the sales person (brexiteers) owe the client money from the last project we failed to deliver, sooohh we may want to discuss trade but that's not going to happen until the previous project is sorted and then the client is going to want some tighter controls over the new deal. So in summary we don't control the agenda this normally = lost sale or bad sale. Going forward outside rhe EU every deal we try and do will end up the same way either no deal or a bad deal. No doubt this will not happen due to Brexit magic.
igm - my hope is that scotland will get its independence and remain in the UK
Scotland will hopefully be OK but I am full of sorrow at the damage this will do to england and I am sorry it another nail in the coffin of the UK
Then the 48% tell them to go and * themselves when they need help.
When they 52% have the guts to step and say "sorry we made a huge mistake, you were right, let's not do this, and I absolutely should not have voted to strip you of your rights without your consent", I'll be up for a bit of pulling together.
Until then, as you so eloquently put it, they can go * themselves.
(Not going to happen though).
My last post on here.
I always thought the thatcher death celebrations were a bit harsh.
My goal in life is to outlive may and have a little dance when that bitch dies.
**** you you evil ****ing bitch.
If you Brexshitting cockwombles were in any doubt about what you actually voted for, let Mr Murdoch spell it out for you
Petty, small-minded, xenophobic, foreigner-hating, backward looking, little-Englander nastiness
I have never felt so ashamed, embarrassed and saddened to be British. And angry. Really, really ****ing angry!!!
Binners +1
Anyone hear David Starkey on Radio 4 this morning?
Apparently Farage is a modern day Henry the VIII (in a good way), Nick Clegg should be quartered for treason and Brexit could be the start of the new British Empire.
๐
Lets hope Royal Mail keep up their record for losing letters!!
Well this went please sbob, as the cult of Brexit demands complete supplication to is wondrous isolationism
And certainly not critical analysis

Agreed
What search engine did you use to find those kimbers?? If they weren't the very first hit you found then they don't count apparently. ๐
"* you you evil * bitch."
...and she's a remainer...
She isn't a remainer or a leaver. She's a cynical opportunist who'll do whatever it takes to further herself, and **** everyone else. Typical Tory really.

he's been wingeing like a bitch for years that government weren't doing enough to encourage manufacturing in this country. now the pound's on it's arse due to this government's direction of travel i am sure he'll be putting his money where his mouth is, expressing his gratitude, and providing well paid jobs to people in this country, rather than in his malaysia facilities. ๐
"She isn't a remainer or a leaver"
She's a remainer.
Is that White Cliffs pic a photoshop or did they really do it?
Lots of anger here, and I share it.
Anger does not bode well for our future.
Well said Binners. A successful appeal to the lowest common denominator by a pack of absolute shithouses for which we all will bear the consequences.
I just heard a Welsh bloke on the radio who voted to leave blame Europe for crime and drug issues in Maesteg. WTF he then followed it up by saying that it was Carwyn Jones and Plaid who take all the money and spend it on Cardiff Bay.
I don't know how you discuss the truth with someone who is so misinformed.
I don't know how you discuss the truth with someone who is so misinformed.
And his vote counts the same as yours.
Which of course is "right", but ....
I'm stuck on this, what do we do?

"what do we do?"
Never have referendums. Stick to representative democracy where you vote for people, who are responsible for policy rather than policy itself.
OOB - we've disagreed previously but that is spot on
Lets all take a moment to reflect on the moron who's monumental arrogance delivered us here. Through an act of ill-conceived, short-sighted and short term political opportunism that went horribly wrong
Anyone heard from him of late? No. Because like the other self-serving morons presently at the helm, they just saunter away, totally unaffected, from the car crashes they cause, leaving the little people to pick up the pieces
Why is the bill taking us out called the 'Great' Repeal Bill? That makes it implicit that its something wonderful and I imagine in some quarters evokes stirrings to the strains of 'Land of Hope and Glory'.
Unless of course it means its simply very significant. 'Significant' Repeal Bill isn't quite as catchy I guess.
Binners + 48million.
The Morons have taken over.

LOL at Kimbers. Find it shocking to believe those 'Sun' projections are for real.
Bring back Great Britain.
Remember the London Olympics?
Feeling proud to be part of a welcoming, competitive, country?
I'm ashamed of the path we are going down.
