Anyone else got a pair of Howies water resistant jeans?

Can't say I'm that impressed, road to work this morning in light rain (15 mins only) and have decidedly damp thighs......
Had a few pair of the Alpkit ones, same fabric. Fairly water resistant til they started to wear/had been washed a few times-presume the silicon finish on the thread wore off. A lot better than denim at shucking off water when new though.
How's the fit on the Howies for you? I bought two different pair of jeans from them last week, one pair fitted fine, the Epic jobs would barely fit over my thighs, and are really low cut and too tight for 'active' use IMO. Going back, really disappointed.
Don't have the Howies ones, but do have a couple of pairs of the discontinued Alpkit ones. They are not "waterproof" in the true sense of the word, its a bit misleading. It would be much more accurate to say "extremely fast drying", which they are.
I love mine, and now I see Howies are making them, a pair is right at top of my Xmas list.
Mine are brand new. The Epic Denim seems less stretchy than normal denim, so I had to go a size up to get a comfortable fit (or possibly I'm just fatter than I used to be).
They were quite stiff to start with, more so than normal new jeans, but that seems to be getting better. This is the second week I've worn them, but today was the first time they've been rained on.
I was hoping they'd be better than they seem to be, but I'll still need to use Rain Legs as they don't seem very repellent at all.
I had some Waterproof jeans for snowboarding in... They were ace. Had to keep treating them though.
There are a few snowboard clothing manufacturers making them too.
