I'm planning to build an ensuite out of a dressing room next to my bedroom later in the year.
I'll get a builder to do the macerator thing (it's not going into a soil waste) and maybe a sparky if nec (changing only switch in that area of room, other area becoming a cupboard so will need extra light & switch), will do the plumbing myself.
Anything in particular out look out for? Will have a bath, shower over, wee sink and bog. May also put a glass/perspex panel in partition wall along with a lcd telly in the bedroom so I can pivot that round and watch Homes under the Hammer from the bath.
(Waits for THE picture to be posted....)
Ohh, and if you are fitting a bog, there won't be a need for a wee sink - a traditional hand basin will suffice 😉
Invest in a quiet jobby muncher.

I hope you're not referring to the "ensuite" I shall be buying in the next couple of weeks....

Extractor fan?
Drinks cabinet?
Really OMITN, that is a very special feature.
But back to the OP - really look into whether you can get a full-sized soil pipe - those macerators are useless, prone to failing and can be expensive to fix. IMO they should only be fitted if it is impossible to get a soil in.
Avoid going down the macerator route if you can. Think about what it does and what it will be full of when it goes wrong.
Thanks guys, I don't think I have the option of non-maceration, unless I just get a urinal?
OMITN my title was in reference/deference to your thread...
don't get a noisy poo blender. Think of all those hot city grrrls you will make all embarrassed when they freshen up and you can hear it.
