[Closed] Living Room Tech, TVs, music etc, What's good as well as clutter free?

Currently we have a 26" CRT sat on a cabinet containing a Wii, DVD, VCR, Amp, CD, Tuner, Freeview and Cassette player.

So what should we replace that lot with for TV and tunes. Cassette and VCR no longer needed. Room is 5m x 6m ish. Are any of the soundbar type things for the telly any good, would prefer not to have a speaker behind my ear if I sit in the wrong place. Any good all-in-one boxes around? It would be nice to keep the number of remotes down. Thanks.
