I keep getting the ads on here for these runners. (Not complaining about the ad's btw)
Looks like a very bad idea to me.

I bought some Addidas Springblades (for a laugh mostly to see what they felt like, rather than for running). They feel a bit squishy but not springy (and the uppers are incredibly tight fitting + hot), the downsides are they're a nightmare to walk down stairs in and stones can get trapped in the 'springs', those Enko ones look a bit more serious but as you say would probably be a nightmare off-road.

Always wary about dismissing new running tech. I did this a few years ago with Hoka's and now run in them!
Having said that I think that is just gimmickery gone mad. I also wonder who they are catering for, most runners tend to land mid to forefoot.

Might be fine for gym-bunnies or running on a flat, prepared track, but suspect they'd be a disaster for offroad venturing as attaching a flexible fabric to a rigid structure is never going to end well...

Oh these shoes are brilliant. I’m loving the plastic nature of the “shock absorber” - that thing is supposed to absorb a similar amount of weight as the shock on your bike. Over and over again... 😆

Apologies for the mass deletion, I've removed the suspected astroturfer.
