Following on from the car vs van thread what does this mean?
"Businesses purchasing brand-new electric vans can utilize the 100% First-Year Allowance. This enables you to deduct the full purchase price from your taxable profits in the first year."
So if I make a profit of £50,000, I would normally pay about £10,000 in tax.
If I buy a van for £30,000, then I pay tax on £20,000, of about £4,000.
So I get a £6,000 discount on the van?
The reason I ask, is that there is Peugeot E Partner crew cab van for £25k, discounted from a list of (allegedly) of £33k.
So a brand new van for £19k?
