How easy is an electric shower to remove or do i need a sparky?

If you have any common sense then their is no need for a spark. Shower will more than likley have a seperate rcd/fuse at the consumer unit. Pull this out/switch off, isolate the water supply and remove the shower. Easy, if you have some diy sense.

Don't come crying to me if you fry though 😉

Should be easy enough. As has been said, most likely on its own 32amp supply. Take the fuse out(or MCB), and you can do what you like. If you feel up to it, and want everything tidy, you can even remove it's own supply - disconnect it live(if brave), or pull fuse near meter(everything in house will go off). That fuse will likely have a little seal on it - but it's ok to break that.

Water should have(but may not have)isolation valve. You may want to re-direct that anyway, which means turning off at stop cock, and draining.

Easy job though.
