anyone got one? looking for one after using one today, made the job a lot easier.
Todays was a 4 tonne electic, but it struggled with a few logs so i am thinking a 6-10 tonne electric one would be better. Also one on a stand might be good as it buggers your back working on one on the ground.
Any recommendations?
bloody expensive way of splitting wood if you're not doing it a hell of a lot.
A nice high stump for a block and some mauls/grenades would do the job for occasional use.

Sooo slow. And you lose 1/3 of the heating value.
You get warm once cutting it, again splitting it and a third time burning it.
Machine mart and screwfix sell them.
