Hi,

I had an extension built a couple of years ago and installed in-screed underfloor heating - it's a two cable system, both of which were the same length.

I've just noticed that the last third of one of the cables has stopped working, resulting in my floor now having 3 temperatures - 1 area 'normal' due to 1 cable being complete, 1 area being quite warm due to a short in the cable making that loop short (ha!) and about a sixth of the floor now being unheated.

Should I leave it running as-is, with one loop being shorter or should I disconnect the loop and have half the floor heated and the other half unheated? Will I damage something further if I leave it?

I'm a little peed-off to be honest - it'll be extremely expensive to fix properly.

Don't know, but we've specced water pipes as we were concerned with cable issues.
