Having this debate in the office about how you feel when drinking different types of alcoholic drinks. You know a lot of people say things like "he's a nutter on cider" "don't give me whisky i get tearful" "i'm a nightmare on gin"

personally i always feel relaxed when drinking red wine, but give me a sambuca and i'll be charged for anything!

I suppose this is because each drink is anchored to a state/experience you felt when drinking at that time?

And because of what is in it.

Sambuca is essentially sugar and alcohol so will charge you like a 10 yr old.

I can't drink Stella or Hoegarden. They both send me mentalist.

more than 2 gins = a very argumentative mrsf.

eta don't think it's to do with state/experience. g&t is a relaxing evening drink for me. as long as it's only 1 or 2 - have very rarely had more than that but it's always made me feel rowy.

Scotch whiskey can make me punchy for some reason whereas other whiskeys don't.

Oh and Stella Artois in cans makes my left shoulder ache whereas I'm fine with bottles or draught.

Guinness and Tia Maria, sends me nuts, but taste so good, just like
chocolate milkshake, one pint of the black stuff & one shot tia maria.

I find all alcohol has the same effect on me, it's only when I mix it with other stuff like red bull etc... that stuff has a different effect!

I find that wine mixed with rohypnol stops women from fighting off my advances like rabid wolves.

guy in the office says it's all psychological, the only active ingredient in all these drinks is alcohol.

Cider makes me punchy. Gin makes me inappropraite. Sambuca makes me bounce. Jager makes me fall over.

Wonder what would happen if I mixed them?

Whisky makes me stroppy. Tequila makes me very odd. Last time I drank tequila I spent hours going round a friends flat without touching the floor, hid pork pies all round his flat and stood on my head in a corner.

Otherwise I'm fine.

There ay actually be something real in this not just suggestion. The alcohol molecule comes in different shapes and there is more than just alcohol in drinks.

I find I turn into a giggly idiot when most mixing spirits. Straight rum just gets me drunk. Skittles vodka makes me a little hyper. Cider makes me destructive and up for stupid things, so I stick to cider for the relaxed evenings and stick to the spirits for the drunkeness.

I find that I get an ache in my legs when Ive mixed too many spirits the night before.
