Comes with up to date V5 in my name 🙂
ring ring.......
That's hilarious 🙂
Anything MkI Escort now seems to command surprising money as long as it's got a plate - lots of fake / replica Mexicos and RS going for silly money. Seen some not much better than that pile of scrap going for thousands.
I remember some of my mates had fully functioning, MOT'd examples as first cars bought for less than that one is being offered for..
Mk IIs are also starting to command what I think are silly prices, but market forces are market forces..
That wreck is easily worth £600 - possibly a lot more (to a scrote). Its got a log book and a chassis number plate - that all you need to nick the white one above and give it a new identity.
My glasses were bought from an eBay optometrist. Could be why I misread the title.
We did a thread on Mk1s recently. Bonkers prices.
😯
Seriously?
I am into classic bikes and 🙂 see a fair few rusty frames going for silly money but that........... 🙂 😯
Xcgb - Bodmin Broughs being an example?
Yes indeed, its a real shame the owner of those didn't sell one and fix the roof! 🙂

I suspect the seller knows this, hence a specific photo of the VIN plate.
Exactly. 🙂
it's got a bit of rust!
I've driven worse
Hasn't anyone heard of T-Cut?
Hasn't anyone heard of T-Cut?
Indeed - I think most of the damage would polish out.
I wonder if it could be driven home?
you've not looked at vw sites then, ive seen buses far worse than that restored. its quite a cool thing to do these days and the worst the better.

Pessimists will tell you that glasses are half empty
Optimists will tell you that glasses are half full
Optometrists will tell you that the second pair of glasses are half price

I feel for the mug who'll be parting the best part of £30k for the tarted up fake.[/url]
And an engineer will tell you that the glass has been built to the wrong specification.Pessimists will tell you that glasses are half empty

It looks like someone nicked it and crashed it in his field in 1977 and he has spent the next 40 years finding the right documents to sell it.
i cannot believe anyone is buying anything like the op post or the one above.
as someone said above, pure fraud and criminality is the only reason for the sale. then i can't believe anyone is buying the said car from the criminals. id say an e-type jag or a ferrari f40 is a classic , a mk1 escort though? each to there own
check out his completed listings, seems it has sold a couple of times! along with the Mexico
Another ebay special....
Yours for a bargain 270 pounds!
See if you can spot the iron railings!
oh my god. what possess people at times.
As long as it's got the Log Book, VIN tag and at least half of the other VIN stamps present it will be a candidate for a reshell, that's where the money is tied up in it! The missing mechanicals, trim etc don't matter as it would probably end up as a rally car.
That bike looks like an early whyte design. 😯
That is a work of shart. I think I'll choose to call out the tyre valves.
